Sofía Sorbet

Sofia Sorbet is a PhD fellow at the Translational and Clinical Research Institute at Newcastle University. With a background in Biomedical Engineering and a Master's in Statistics from Spain, Sofia’s research focuses on leveraging machine learning algorithms to predict flares in rheumatoid arthritis. A key aspect of her work involves analysing T cell datasets obtained through flow cytometry.

Motivated by the need for automated and interpretable approaches, she is developing a novel method to enhance the analysis of flow cytometry data, aiming to improve transparency and clinical applicability in predictive modelling.
