12th + 14th-16th May 2025 – Heriot-Watt University and University of Edinburgh
The ESRIC Super-Resolution Specialist School is an in-depth course designed to give participants a thorough grounding in super-resolution microscopy. It brings together leading researchers and the major suppliers of super-resolution microscopes and analysis software to provide expertise and guidance in the theory, practise and analysis of techniques including structured illumination microscopy (SIM), stimulated emission depletion microscopy (STED), and single molecule localisation microscopies (PALM, sptPALM and dSTORM). The course is suitable for anyone with prior experience of fluorescence microscopy looking to exploit the benefits of super-resolution.
The Specialist School includes a day of virtual talks covering the theory and background of all major super-resolution techniques and 3 in-person days offering hands-on practical training on ESRIC’s super-resolution systems. Participants can select whether to attend the virtual talks day only or the talks along with 1, 2 or 3 days of workshops.
Full details and application form can be found at https://esric.org/specialistschool2025/. The deadline for applications is Friday 28th March, but workshop places are limited to apply early to avoid disappointment!
