Admittance to this event is for registered and authorised attendees only. Unfortunately we cannot permit access to visitors or allow non-registered persons to enter the meeting. Registration includes lunch. You will have an opportunity during the registration process to advise us of any food allergies and/or dietary requirements.

The event will take place in both the Hadrian Building and the Boiler House at Newcastle University, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 7RU.

This is a 3 day event that includes speaker sessions, workshops and an exhibition. Registration will run simultaneously with a welcome lunch on Wednesday from 12pm in the Hadrian Building and the sessions will commence at 1pm.
The event will finish with lunch at 1pm on the Friday. There will be an opportunity to network during refreshment breaks and lunch.
We welcome you to join us for a drinks reception and a 3-course dinner on Thursday 27th from 7pm onwards at the restaurant As You Like It. For RMS Member Tickets, Non-Member Tickets and Student Tickets this is included in your registration fee, you may opt out of attending the dinner during the registration process. For exhibiting company representatives there is an option to purchase a ticket for £35 + vat. This can be added on by logging in to your account and adding the tickets on to your existing booking. Please help us to reduce waste by confirming your attendance or opting out of the dinner so that we can provide accurate catering numbers to the restaurant. The RMS are committed to reducing waste and making all of our activities more sustainable. With this in mind, we have reduced the amount of printing associated with our events, turning to online solutions therefore, we will only be providing an electronic copy of the pdf meeting booklet which will be sent to you prior to the meeting.
It is easy to get to the University campus once you’ve arrived in the city. Simply take the Metro to the Haymarket station, which is only two stops from Central Station. The campus is opposite the Metro station. Tickets are around £4.10 for a Metro Day Ticket for unlimited travel (in one zone).
Walking
Alternatively, it’s approximately 18-minutes walk to the campus from the train station.
Driving
For sat-nav, we recommend using the postcode of one of the city-centre car parks or a park and ride option. Parking is not available on campus for this event however, there are city-centre car parks available. Please note these can get rather busy.
Parking on campus is limited and only available for disabled visitors. Please email open.day@ncl.ac.uk if you require a disabled parking space.
Travelling by train

Newcastle Central Station is on the east coast main line and directly accessible from London King's Cross, Glasgow and Edinburgh.The University can easily be reached from Newcastle Central Station using the Metro. Haymarket Metro station is opposite the campus and only two stops from Central Station.
The campus is approximately 18-minutes' walk from the train station. A taxi rank is also outside the station.
Accommodation for this event is not included however, there are many hotels within walking distance from the University.
