EM-UKI 2025 will take place at the Liverpool Medical Institute, 114 Mount Pleasant, Liverpool, L3 5SR.

Liverpool Medical Institute is situated opposite Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral. The front entrance is on Mount Pleasant.

 

Plane: The nearest airport is Liverpool John Lennon (6.5 miles away).

Train: The nearest train stations are Liverpool Lime Street (0.6 miles away) and Liverpool Central (0.5 miles away).

Car: The postcode for sat nav or online directions is L3 5SR. From the end of the M62, follow the signs for the City Centre, Cathedrals and Universities.

Further information will be sent out to you, by email, nearer the time of the meeting.

The RMS are committed to reducing waste and making all of our activities more sustainable. With this in mind, we have reduced the amount of printing associated with our events, turning to online solutions, therefore, we will only be providing an electronic copy of the pdf meeting booklet, sent to you prior to the meeting. We will also not be producing any materials specifically for this event. Pens and notepads will be available at the RMS welcome desk.

There is no dress code for this meeting, or dinner.

The programme for this meeting will start at midday on Thursday 6 February, and will finish midday on Friday 7 February. This will be an in person meeting and there will not be the opportunity to attend online.

Lunch and refreshments will be provided on both days. There will be a meeting dinner on the night of Thursday 6 February, this is included in your registration. If you do not wish to attend the dinner, or are unable to, please email katie@rms.org.uk.

Every care will be taken to cater for any dietary requirements or allergens. Attendees must make the RMS aware of these requirements via the registration process. If you have any concerns, please contact katie@rms.org.uk.

Presenting at the Meeting

If you are giving a talk, please note your talk time and duration on the programme. A laptop with a data projector will be provided. Please bring your presentation on a memory stick. If you wish to use your own PC or Mac, please bring the appropriate connector to attach it to the data projector. If you have travelled from outside the UK please ensure you have a UK power adaptor.

You will need to be available during the break before your talk to load your presentation on to the AV system and to make sure it works.  This will enable the session to run smoothly and to time.

If you are presenting a poster, your poster number can be found in the pdf meeting booklet, as well as poster session times. Please put your poster up next to your assigned number upon arrival, Velcro will be made available to you.

Covid-19

Attending RMS Events

We do not require people to test for covid-19 in order to attend our events, however, we advise anyone with symptoms of Covid-19 not to attend our in-person events. The list of recognised symptoms can be found at gov.uk.

Masks and face coverings at events

The RMS has been following government guidance with regard to wearing masks and face coverings in public spaces.

We are not mandating that attendees must wear masks at RMS events, but we welcome anyone to do so if they wish.

There will be spare masks, hand sanitiser and covid tests available at the RMS welcome desk for anyone that requires them.

Photography at RMS Events

Taking photographs or video of the submitted or invited presentations is not permitted during this RMS event. Presentations at this event may contain unpublished work and the taking of photographs may discourage those with unpublished research from attending and presenting at this and future events.  Delegates that take photographs or videos of talks or posters at this event will be asked to stop.

Official Photography

There may be a number of people taking official photographs to record this event and also to use in future promotional material for the RMS. If for any reason you do not wish to be included in these photos, please let your RMS event organiser know on the day of the event.
