The meeting will be taking place on Zoom, link will be emailed to you with confirmation of registration
Subtitles will be available for the duration of the meeting. Attendees can download a full transcript after the meeting has ended if they wish (please note that Zoom subtitles may not be fully accurate)
In order for the meeting to run as smoothly as possible, we request that you carefully read and follow the guidance below:
Please keep your microphone muted and your camera off unless you are speaking.
If you wish to speak please use the “raise hand” facility: Go to “manage participants” then “raise hand” or turn on camera and start waving! The Chair will invite you to speak at an appropriate time.
When invited to speak, please turn on your video if you are able and happy to do so. You do not have to have your camera on to ask or answer a question.
You can also contribute to the discussion on the zoom chat.
Please listen to the end of what someone is saying and don’t “jump in” with incidental comments or interruptions.
Please use your full name on your zoom login
Please feel welcome to include your pronouns in your zoom name when you join the meeting eg (he/him), (she/her), (they/them)
If you have any issues or concerns during the meeting, please message 'Royal Microscopical Society' in the chat
Please remember that comments in the chat or anything spoken allowed will appear in the saved chat and live transcript that can be downloaded by any attendee at the end of the event, and any comment you make, verbal or written, will have your name alongside it in the download. If you wish to remain anonymous in your comments you will need to change your zoom name, but it is good practice not to verbalise or write anything in the chat you do not want associated with your name. Any private messages between attendees only appear on those attendees downloads and are not accessible to the rest of the attendees.
