Applications are once again open for an exciting initiative giving scientists in all scientific fields the chance to visit a UK imaging or flow core facility for up to a week.
The Technical Specialist Job Shadowing Program, funded by the RMS and BioImagingUK, provides the opportunity to learn first-hand about the technical job roles based at these facilities.
It aims to showcase challenging technical roles to individuals within academia, whose skills are in demand and can be effectively utilised in core facilities.
The latest round of applications follows a successful pilot of the scheme in 2023, which was supported by the Technician Commitment and the Technical Specialist Network.
Applications close on 31 August 2024.
