Partnership Opportunities

The Royal Microscopical Society (RMS) has a well-established reputation for working collaboratively across our communities.  We welcome engagement with all our members to partner on the following opportunity areas that are all compliant with our charitable aims:

  • Hosting Internships for those at the early stages of their career and providing a chance for scientists to work with Society team members on specific projects designed to support our wider membership
  • Offering endorsements for approved projects and funding bids that support our charitable aims. An example of successful engagement in this area is BioImagingUK, that receives support and funding from the RMS: https://www.rms.org.uk/community/networks-affiliates/bioimaginguk-network.html
  • Acting as Professional Conference/Congress Organisers (PCO’s) for meetings, courses and conferences and utilising the skills of a dedicated Events Team based in Oxford who have a proven track record of delivery of high quality CPD to the scientific community
  • Assisting with sharing best practice and communicating developments within our communities
  • Formulating Memorandum of Understanding (MoU’s) designed to encourage better collaboration with organisations, public bodies and other societies

I have really enjoyed my time here – not just the work, but all the interactions with people and the networking opportunities. It has been great working with the RMS staff, who have been so supportive and made me feel so welcome. It is such a professional, but also very friendly environment here.
