The Microscience Microscopy Congress (mmc) Series are the flagship events of the Royal Microscopical Society and they take place in Manchester every two years.
The mmc series encompasses a scientific conference of six parallel sessions of both invited and submitted talks alongside plenary lectures from world-leading names in microscopy and cytometry. The conference is accompanied by poster sessions hosted in the main exhibition hall which is also home to 100+ companies showcasing the very best of what is currently available in microscopy, cytometry and imaging.
Many of the exhibitors also host commercial workshops which are an opportunity to learn what is new from manufacturers and to put your questions directly to them. Alongside the exhibition and poster area is the Learning Zone - a fully-equipped teaching and learning area staffed by impartial experts who are ready to answer your questions.
The mmc series is proud to host a number of satellite meetings under its umbrella. These include the annual EMAG Conference, and AFM & SPM and Frontiers in BioImaging Meetings, allowing you to meet your peers within the environment of a much larger event.
We showcase the shortlisted images and videos from our Scientific Imaging Competition in a breath-taking display accessible to all our visitors. The winners are announced during the event in a special ceremony.
We also take the opportunity to celebrate the success of members of the microscopy, cytometry and imaging community by bestowing awards and medals during the week, either during the scientific sessions, plenary lecture, or at one of the number of high-profile social events that are perfect for networking.
All in all, it’s an unmissable opportunity to learn, present and network. Find out more about the next congress in the series and sign up for newsletter updates on the dedicated website - www.mmc-series.org.uk.
