University of Nottingham Flow Cytometry Facility

The University of Nottingham Flow Cytometry Facility provides a fully comprehensive Flow Cytometry and Cell Sorting Service open to all research groups across the University and by agreement to external parties. We provide access to high end flow cytometers as well as a full range of training and support designed to make your flow cytometry experiments a success.

Platforms

KEYWORDS - PLATFORMS: COnventional FLOW CYTOMETRY. Imaging Flow CYtometry. Full spectrum flow cytometry. CELL SORTING. 

The facility has 2 CytoFLEX (Beckman Coulter) conventional flow cytometers, an ID7000 (SONY) full spectrum flow cytometer. Imaging flow cytometry is provided by an ImageStream X MKII (Luminex). Full training is provided for use of these analytical machines. High speed cell sorting is offered as a service on the Astrios EQ (Beckman Coulter).

The facility has expertise in all areas of flow cytometry and cell sorting including bacteria and small particle analysis. 

Data Analysis

The Facility runs monthly training courses in Kaluza software and also supports users with FlowJo (including R plugins for unsupervised analysis), FCS express, and IDEAS.  

Shared Access

The Facility is open to all users in the University of Nottingham and by arrangement to external parties. We have an online booking system to facilitate open use
