RMS Ambassador Profile

RMS Ambassadors help raise our profile and promote our activities. Ambassadors raise awareness of RMS activities, support local members and encourage new members. From putting up posters which advertise our meetings and courses to promoting specific activities via emails or other suitable routes, there are many ways you could help the RMS.

To fully complete this application, can I kindly request you to provide the following information for our website profile:


Rules and Regulations:

  • Displaying their contact details including profile picture on the website
  • Attend compulsory training sessions (which are part of the training) and annual meetings (preferably in person but for those can’t attend in person should attend online)
  • Carry out at least 1-3 activities/yr (with emphasis on the outreach activities) – provide a list of suggested activities including sharing upcoming events on their social media (some suggestions can be found in the later section)
  • Provide post-event report
  • Annual feedback report
  • Appropriate use of resources provided by the RMS
  • Appropriate advertisement of the RMS and its upcoming events/opportunities
  • Appropriate comments/posts, professional and appropriate behavior, respectful and no bullying in the CRM Group
  • Maintain professionalism, appropriate behavior and approachable when approached by someone in a conference/event that involves talks about the RMS 
  • Remember to discuss with a member of the RMS before carrying out an outreach activity and ensure that you know the content for presentation(s) that you intend to deliver in events (ask if not sure – we will provide the content and resources)

Suggested activities:

  • Share upcoming events/opportunities on their social media
  • Circulate upcoming events/opportunities within their institute
  • Deliver short presentation at events such as at symposiums, conferences, meetings (lab meetings etc.), new cohort of PhD students
  • Stands in events such as at the Freshers week/Uni open days – this is very useful for undergraduate ambassadors
  • Outreach activities – engage with your local communities such as your own institute, school(s), college(s) (any educational institute where you think they could benefit from the RMS)
  • Bring in your own ideas
